DuPont Park Civic Association committees are organized and fulfilled by its members. Committees consist of internal and external opportunities to serve the needs of both the DuPont Park community, as well as represent fellow residents and their interests to greater Washington, DC leadership. (All committee members must be official members of the association.)
Amenities Committee: expresses the sympathy and concerns, of behalf of the DuPont Park Civic Association, to members who are sick, and to residents who have passed away (or their family).
Civic Affairs Committee: represents the association externally at various government, council, and city leadership meetings; in an effort to represent the interest of DCPA, report back on updates, and handles required correspondence to key DC stakeholders.
Fundraising/Ways and Mean Committee: is responsible for all aspects of fundraising activities for the association (research, presentation, management, collection of funds, and reporting).
Hospitality Committee: greets and introduces new members and ensures that refreshments are available at monthly meetings and for special events.
Membership Committee: collects dues from current & incoming members, and provides summary records to the Association’s financial secretary. This committee also handles all membership reporting at meetings, and organizes membership engagement activities(such as curating new member welcome packets, and more).
Planning Committee: is responsible for meeting and association logistics, works with the president to develop monthly meeting agendas, corresponds with the civic engagement committee to secures guest speakers, canvass members regarding topics of interest, and reports on past & upcoming community events.
Scholarship Committee: handles and reviews applications, nominates candidate(s) to be considered by the committee & Association’s general body for scholarship award.
Digital Committee: develops and maintains the DPCA website, manages social media channels, keeps website content current, and manages Associations’ digital footprint to the DC community.
Newsletter Committee: develops and issues newsletters for the association that provide up-to-date, relevant, and interesting community information.
